New Orleans Rapper, Lil Wayne this week graced the cover of Billboard magazine giving insight into his new project  'Tha Carter V' - his upcoming twelfth studio album.

During his photo shoot, the legendary rapper whose relationship with Nicki Minaj has been one of the most successful partnerships in the history of hip-hop declared that she is still the queen of hip-hop.

This comes after Nicki Minaj's rap rival Cardi B tried to attack her at the Harper's Bazaar's New York Fashion Week party last week.

Speaking to the publication, Lil Wayne said: 

"Call it bias or whatever, but to me, she’s the queen and she’ll forever be the queen, just because of how hard she works and what she came from… She’s always a queen in my eyes. I think Nicki is still the queen of hip-hop simply because who she is.
