"If I didn't have a commitment with my sponsor, I could have been at Zaventem airport that morning. Because of the event I had to go to, I arrived in Belgium a day earlier, but in Antwerp. Otherwise, I would have taken an early morning flight from Rome and I would have landed directly in Brussels.
Everything changed. The coach told us that the afternoon training session would be skipped and the camp would be delayed until further notice. So now we don't know what to do. Is our match with Portugal going to be cancelled? I have so many friends who work at the airport. I hope that they are all alright because here I can't talk to anyone. I don't even know the names of the victims, I hope everything is OK."

FOOTBALL: AS Roma and Belgium footballer missed the terror attacks by a quirk of fate

FOOTBALL: 18yr old Man U. hero Marcus Rashford to get new salary increase from £500 to £15,000 per week
The new deal would mean that the 18-year-old would earn over 30 times his current wage. Rashford's performances also mean that he has enjoyed a better start to his career than Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Wayne Rooney, no wonder the immense hype towards this talented player.
FOOTBALL: Manchester United FC worth $1billion less than when Louis van Gaal took over
Dutch coach Louis van Gaal took over management reins at the club in the summer of 2014, after leading Holland to third place at the World Cup. Since he joined Man U, the club's share price has dropped by $6.25. It went from $19.58 to $13.33, on the close of the New York Stock Exchange on March 23 2016. Over the same period, the US stock market has risen by 3 percent.
"Football clubs typically don’t present a particularly attractive investment proposition because their revenues are lumpy, and their employees are rather expensive," said stock market analyst Laith Khalaf.
"Mistakes on the pitch can be costly for shareholders too – in 2015 Manchester United’s broadcast revenues dropped by £30 million as it failed to qualify for the Champions League in that season. So far this year things seem to be picking up with a bounce in revenues, but if the club fails to qualify for the Champions League this season, next year could be a fallow one for investors."
Suspect comments on his own wanted poster asking why he's top of the list, "Wtf? Man y'all doing too much"
This is so hilarious! A suspect wanted by the police in connection with a possible offence trolled them on Facebook asking why he is top of the list. Lol. According to the UK Mirror, Roderick Hill wanted to know why his face was on top of the police's wanted list.
The Linden Police Department police posted on March 20: "Roderick Hill of Linden and Mobile is wanted for Attempting to Elude, considered armed. Anyone caught helping him will be charged with Hindering Prosecution."
Hill replied in the comment section a day later, saying: "Wtf?? Man y'all doing too much... it's murderers out here and y'all worried bout lil ol' me? Wow...sad,"
Explaining further, he later added: "And it was not a high-speed chase I ran on foot so it's not even a felony"
When someone asked what his supposed offence was, Hill explained:
"I ran from them... I've never been caught or charged with a gun never robbed. So how is it fair to label me armed over a traffic offence."
He further explained, "And it was not a high-speed chase I ran on foot so it's not even a felony..."
A Facebook user pointed out that he should probably turn off his location on his phone.

FOOTBALL: Adam Johnson sentenced to 6 years imprisonment
Judge Jonathan Rose, upon pronouncing judgement told Johnson: “All of this is entirely your own responsibility and fault."
The judge said the victim had been a Sunderland fan who would wait after matches to take pictures of her “favourite player”, Johnson, who had known her age.
“That was known to you - to put it another way she had only just turned 15 when you began grooming her, because as you were to admit you found her sexually attractive. You continued in your grooming of this girl even after you were engaged in sexual activity with her. You wanted no-one to know that you and she were exchanging messages. You asked her to find a place to meet that was private and secluded so no-one would see you in her company. You made a deliberate decision to engage in sexual activity with this young girl, no doubt in the expectation that you would get away with it. Your future as a professional footballer must be in doubt.”
UK: Two students convicted of plotting terror attack in London...
The foiled attack targeted the Shepherds Bush Police Station and the Parachute Regiment Territorial Army Center in White City, in west London.
"They were planning to target police or military personnel before escaping on a moped, but members of the public also could have been victims had their plans not been thwarted," Commander Dean Haydon, head of the Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Command, said.
Majeed, Hamlet and Cuffy were arrested in September 2014 while Hassane was studying in Sudan. He was arrested a month later on his return to the UK.
Authorities said they seized five guns along with ammunition after they arrested the men. They also uncovered many graphic images of beheadings and material in support of ISIS.
A date for sentencing is yet to be set.

Netherlands and Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff has died aged 68 after a battle with cancer.
The former Ajax and Barcelona star had previously announced a period of ill-health in October 2015, indicating that he was set to undergo open heart surgey.
And a statement on Cruyff's website on Thursday announced that the 68-year-old had died.
"On March 24 2016 Johan Cruyff (68) died peacefully in Barcelona, surrounded by his family after a hard fought battle with cancer," the statement read.

Alongside coach Rinus Michels, Cruyff also reached the 1974 World Cup final with a Netherlands side that many regard as the nation's greatest of all time.
Following his first spell at Ajax, Dutch attacker then moved on to Barcelona in 1973, winning the league and cup during his time at the club, before moving to the United States and eventually back to Ajax.
After his playing career, Cruyff continued in the game, leading Ajax but then establishing his true credentials as a coach at Barcelona, winning four league titles, a European Cup Winners' Cup and the Uefa Champions League from 1988-1996.
But Cruyff's influence was not limited to his immediate achievments as a player and coach, many credit the Dutch legend with instituing the tiki-take style that Barcelona have become famous for, reinventing the club's youth system that eventually produced the likes of Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Xavi.
