Jay Z’s Tidal Is Donating $1.5 Million To Groups That Support Black Lives Matter Movement

Remember that charity concert Tidal did in October with Jay, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, etc? Well, they raised $1.5 million that night and all of that money is going to groups that support Black Lives Matter, including the Trayvon Martin Foundation, the Michael O.D. Brown We Love Our Sons and Daughters Foundation, the Oscar Grant Foundation.

Tidal’s group of artist owners, which includes several of the musicians who performed in October’s sold-out show including BeyoncĂ©, Nicki Minaj and Jay Z, took part in deciding which organizations would receive funding, the streaming service told Mic. The majority of the groups to benefit are social justice activist groups and organizations, with a large portion of these specifically committed to ensuring the nation understands that black lives matter.
Tidal’s grants will be administered through the New World Foundation, which funds several civil rights groups and social movements. The nonprofits Tidal will fund include Opportunity Agenda, Hands Up United, Sankofa.Org, as well as local organizing groups in California: Community Coalition; Florida: Dream Defenders; Illinois: Black Youth Project; Maryland: Baltimore Justice Fund; Empowerment Development Corporation; New York: Million Hoodies; NY Justice League and Ohio: Ohio Students Association/Organizing Collaborative.
According to Tidal, donations will also be given to organizations created by the families of victims of police brutality, including the Trayvon Martin Foundation, the Michael O.D. Brown We Love Ours Sons and Daughters Foundation and the Oscar Grant Foundation.
The news was officially announced on Friday, the same day Trayvon Martin would’ve turned 21 if he hadn’t been gunned down by a racist piece of dog sh*t on his way home.

EPL: MANCHESTER UNITED FC; Van Gaal: I don't believe Mourinho to Man Utd 'nonsense'

Louis van Gaal does not believe Manchester United are in talks with Jose Mourinho - and has dismissed reports regarding his future as "nonsense".

Mourinho has been heavily linked with United in recent weeks, with reports claiming representatives of the former Chelsea boss have met with officials from the club.

Van Gaal says the stories have affected his family, but he has never doubted his ability and does not expect to be replaced by the Portuguese.

“The last two months have been very difficult for my wife, my kids, my grandchildren and my friends to cope with,” he told reporters. “For me too, but I can cope.

"In the Netherlands they know I am too arrogant to doubt myself, but I also know that such a nonsense is being created about me.

"I do not believe that there is already a relationship between Jose Mourinho and Manchester United.”
Van Gaal also claimed the media had invented stories about him, such as suggesting he had hired security for his wife.

He added: “I criticise the media for inventing stories. I never hired security. Never ever. And I am walking on the streets without security and all the people I meet are very positive.”

BUNDESLIGA: Tuchel unconcerned by Mourinho attendance

Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel insists he is not worried about losing his job to Jose Mourinho after the former Chelsea manager attended Saturday's scoreless draw with Hertha Berlin.
Mourinho was spotted at the Olympiastadion as Dortmund took on Hertha in the Bundesliga, leading to questions over the reason behind the Portuguese's visit.

Tuchel saw no reason for concern, though, and explained Mourinho was invited by chief executive officer Hans-Joachim Watzke to watch Dortmund in action.
"No, I did not know Mourinho attended the game. This is not okay. Watzke is sitting next to another coach...," Tuchel said.
"No, I am just joking. Of course, I knew he would be there. It's not a problem for me.
"I would not be okay with it if he would replace me as Dortmund coach next week, though!"
Tuchel took charge of Dortmund ahead of the 2015-16 campaign and has guided them to 14 wins from 20 Bundesliga games as they sit second in the table, eight points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
Dortmund meet Stuttgart on Tuesday in the DFB-Pokal, while Porto await in the Europa League on February 18.

FOOTBALL: Ex-Manchester United boss Moyes offered China job

Former Manchester United boss David Moyes has revealed he has been offered a job in China.
Moyes, who has been out of work since parting ways with Real Sociedad, revealed that he would return to management next season, stating that he has "numerous opportunities".

"My heart has always been in the Premier League, but I've had an offer to go to China as well," he told BBC Radio 5 Live.
"I think I will [return next season], I have had numerous opportunities, especially since I have come back to England.
"I want to pick the right job, one that really excites me and one I am able to get my teeth into. You want to feel you can manage the way to want to manage."
On the prospect of coaching an international side, the 52-year-old Scot said: "I would be interested. I've come through all the layers of football.
"If the right international job came I don't think I would say no, but at the moment it's club management [I'm interested in].
"It's in my blood. I've managed 850 games and I would like to get to 1000.

INDUSTRY: The Rapper Who Wants To Slap 50 Cent's Eyeballs Loose Also Insults Kendrick

Social media tends to be the outlet that several celebs use to "vent" — sometimes about their peers — and such was the case with Jay Electronica, who came for Kendrick Lamar during a Periscope rant.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, Jay was answering a few fan questions in the back of his car, and when he was asked to share his opinions on a few current rappers in the game, he didn't hold back. When asked about K.Dot, his responses varied, but he claimed he only likes the Compton MC's Gunplay collab, "Cartoon & Cereal," before throwing a little shade. "Other than that, we don't know what n***a talking about," he added.

Don't get it twisted, though. Jay still has love for Kendrick — sort of. "Don't say 'f**k Kendrick.' That's still our brother," he said. However, he changed his tune once again when someone said the young MC could body him in a battle.
"Kendrick is my son," he said. "Kendrick is my baby. Kendrick wishes he could be me."
As far as other hip hop heavy-hitters like Drake and Freddie Gibbs, Jay showed nothing but love. When 50 Cent's name was tossed around, though, he held no punches once again. "Right now, he got the potential to be a rapper but he's on some sucker s**t," he said. "We will slap 50 Cent's eyeballs loose out his scalp."
While Jay's honesty was definitely entertaining, Periscope itself snagged the clip from the app.
Speaking of Kendrick Lamar, did you know President Obama is a fan? Take a look at the video, below, to learn more: HERE

WINNING: 6 Critical Steps To A Winning Company Culture

Creating the right company culture must be a top priority of every entrepreneur and business leader. Simply speaking, culture-driven businesses put their people first, and people make the business, rather than the other way around. Today’s business mantra must be “Take care of your people and they will take care of your customers.” Unfortunately, it’s easier said than done.

Most entrepreneurs start from a base of one or two co-founders, and their vision and focus is on developing an innovative solution, rather than developing people. When they need more team members, they tend to assume that these will come with the same passion and motivation that the founders feel. Moving these employees to first place, ahead of their solution focus, doesn’t happen automatically or easily.
Once a product-first, customer-second, and employee-last culture is set, it is extremely hard to change. Transforming an existing culture is even harder than setting it correctly at the start, as outlined in a new book, “Cultural Transformations,” by leadership experts John Mattone and Nick Vaidya. They do believe it can be accomplished, with the six specific steps paraphrased here:
  1. Culture starts by thinking different and thinking big at the top. In the midst of daily crises and information overload, it takes a strong leader to develop and communicate regularly to employees the “big picture” of where the company is going and why that is a good thing from an employee perspective, as well as for customers and for society.
  2. Accept the vulnerability of confronting leadership mistakes. The best, most able entrepreneurs, look first at themselves and acknowledge that they make mistakes. They practice one of the most important leadership tenets from an employee perspective – humility. This is necessary to solidify the trust between leaders and team members.
  3. Communicate what greatness looks like in the roles you need. Team members will never create your desired culture if they don’t know what you expect of them. They need to understand and be rewarded for the desired attributes, competencies, and results. You need to paint a compelling future for your company that they can all connect with.
  • Transform team member mindsets, behavior, and results. The more successes you can help them create, the more chances they will have to interpret these wins as permanent, pervasive, and personal. As they rack up – with your leadership – yet more and more positive reference points, they internalize the causes and consequences.

USA:A white Chicago police officer who fatally shot a black teen is filing an unusal lawsuit, claiming he was traumatized.

A white Chicago police officer who fatally shot a black 19-year-old college student and accidently killed a neighbor has filed a lawsuit against the teenager's estate, arguing the shooting left him traumatized.

The unusual lawsuit was filed Friday amid city leaders' efforts to win back the public's trust after several cases of alleged police misconduct.
Robert Rialmo's lawsuit provides the officer's first public account of how he says the Dec. 26 shooting happened. It says Rialmo opened fire after Quintonio LeGrier swung a bat at his head at close range.
LeGrier's father, Antonio LeGrier, filed a wrongful death lawsuit saying his son wasn't a threat. His attorney, Basileios Foutris, did not return messages seeking comment on the countersuit.
