Tottenham star Dele Alli beaten and robbed by armed men at London home

Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli beaten and robbed at knife-point by masked men at his north London home early Wednesday morning.
The masked men reportedly gained entrance into the home through a back entrance while the England star, his girlfriend Ruby Mae and brother Harry Hickford and his partner, in addition to another long-term friend were all at home.

Though the 24-year-old suffered some facial injuries from the assault, it's believed to be non life-threatening and no hospitalization was required neither.

Police are analyzing CCTV footage from the property as investigation is ongoing to identify and arrest the perpetrators.

A police spokesman said:
"Police were called at approximately 00:35hrs on Wednesday, 13 May to reports of a robbery at a residential address Barnet.
"Two males gained entry to the property and stole items of jewellery, including watches, before fleeing.
"One male occupant of the property, aged in his 20s, suffered a minor facial injury after being assaulted. He did not require hospital treatment.
"No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue."

The club were made aware of the incident and were liaising with their player to check on his well-being.

Players have been reporting to training this week in blocks of four or five with social distancing restricting them to one per pitch. Alli is understood to have taken his turn earlier this week and is not believed to have trained on Wednesday as the English Premier League amongst other elite sport set to return after June 1.

Though the FA will need the agreement of players.

In the past, Alli has been a high-profile figure in the fight against knife crime in his native Milton Keynes.
