South African government has slammed a misleading tweet by U.S President Donald Trump about the country's land reform policy and the "large-scale killing" of farmers saying the US president was "misinformed".
President Trump on Wednesday tweeted that he directed Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to "closely study the South Africa land and farm seizures and expropriations and the large scale killing of farmers. "South African Government is now seizing land from white farmers".
Responding to the tweet, President Cyril Ramaphosa's spokeswoman, Khusela Diko said:
