RAPIST COP WHO GAVE PREGNANT WOMAN HEROIN THAT KILLED HER FREED FROM TWO LIFE SENTENCES

Rapist cop, Stephen Mitchell, 30, freed from prison after serving only 7 years despite numerous charges ranging from different kinds of assault on up to 30 women during a five-year reign of terror that earned him a two-life sentences.   The Glasgow-born police officer was reported by deceased, Carrieanne Downs, of give her bag of heroin after having sex in his car. She was ignored ­when she warned police about the Mitchell, dying of overdose in her 2nd trimester at the age of 31.  Baby Zeva Tia was delivered but died days later.

Carrieanne's dad, Paul Downs, 67, said: 
"There's no way Mitchell should have been released. It's a disgrace."
"Carrieanne complained about Mitchell plenty of times. She told detectives more than seven times but they took no notice of her. The police hated her. It’s as simple as that."
Grieving Paul explained: 
"Since she was 13 or 14 she got in with the wrong crowd. It got worse and worse."
Carrieanne at 20 was an escort working to fund her drug addiction when she said she first encountered Mitchell.

Mitchell was found guilty of two rapes, three indecent assaults and six cases of misconduct in 2010 and jailed.

Mitchell's trial judge Mr Justice Wilkie said his release on parole "may not be for many years, if for ever’."

Mitchell's daughter Abbey said she feared her dad would always be a danger to women.

Mitchell shared a boastful post online before he was jailed:
"I am a cop in Newcastle,” he wrote on Friends Reunited. “I know many would have thought I would have been on the other side of the Law, but turned out ok in the end."
Northumbria Police spokesman said: 
"We want to reassure anyone who comes forward to report a sexual offence that they will be taken seriously and treated with the utmost compassion and supported at every stage."
