Mexican, Joel Arrona-Lara, was driving his pregnant wife to the hospital for a scheduled Caesarean-section when he was stopped and taken away by ICE officials (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) leaving his pregnant wife, Maria del Carmen Venegas, because she was able to provide her identity card.
The couple had pleaded they drive back home and get Arrona-Lara's identity card but to no avail.
CCTV footage shows pregnant Ms Venegas, who had been left behind drove herself to the hospital.
Mr Arrona-Lara is reportedly wanted in his home country on a warrant for murder according to speculation which many believe originated from the US ICE...
Ms Venegas said on Friday:
Emilio Amaya Garcia, a lawyer on behalf of the non-profit San Bernardino Community Service Center, added that Mr Arrona-Lara’s detention paperwork shows he is in custody for being in the country without documentation.

"I feel very bad right now. My husband needs to be here. He had to wait for his son for so long, and someone just took him away."
