American soul singer, Aretha Franklin dies at 76 after eight-year battle with pancreatic cancer. The legendary singer who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2010 revealed last year she will be retiring from music.
She died in her Detroit home under hospice care and surrounded by family.

The iconic singer will be remembered mostly for her hit songs like "Respect" and "Natural Woman."
