ISIS recaptures ancient city of Palmyra

Islamic state militants recaptures the ancient city from Syrian troops on Sunday after they (ISIS) lost their hold on the city to the Syrian troops and ally Russian troops nine months ago.
The city of Palmyra was a major tourist center before Syrian civil war began in 2011.

It was widely reported that ISIS militants blew up some of significances of the city including temples, arch and museums - severing the heads of statues during their ten months reign in the city.
