Cowards Accosted, Robbed And Beat 80 Year-Old Grandfather On Grocery Trip

Roberto Lopez Flores, 80, left hospitalized with severe facial injuries and broken ribs after he was beaten and robbed at Superior Grocers, California.
The police have since released the names of a suspect and a possible accomplice in connection with the attack.
The alleged attacker Demaris Wade, 22, and his alleged accomplice Tamika White, 33, were last seen in a 2007 Nissan Altima with California license plates.

Lopez Flores would frequently escort his wife to the grocery store to make sure she was safe. After stepping out of the checkout line to use the restroom, he was repeatedly punched and kicked in the chest, robbed of his wallet and left lying in a pool of blood.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department asked that anyone who may have witnessed the attack contact Lancaster detectives.

Lopez Flores’ family, who can’t visit him in the hospital because of coronavirus safety restrictions, wants answers.

"I just don't understand how someone can brutally hurt an old man," daughter Cecilia Ramirez said in the report. "My dad's 80 years old. He doesn't hurt anybody."
