Piers Morgan Calls Footballers Who Break Lockdown Rules To Be Banned From Playing

Controversial British journalist, Piers Morgan leads calls for footballers who break lockdown rules to be banned when football resumes for tarnishing the reputation of all footballers.

His statement comes after Chelsea winger, Callum Hudson-Odoi, 19, who recovered from Coronavirus back in March, was arrested for allegedly breaching lockdown rules and involving in a row with a model stranger he had invited to his home.

Manchester City's right back Kyle Walker and Aston Villa's Jack Grealish are among players who have broken the lockdown rules.

Taking to his Twitter handle this afternoon, Piers Morgan wrote:
'These idiots unfairly tarnish the reputations of all footballers, and make a mockery of the 'safety first' plan to bring back the Premier League.'
'They should be told if they get caught breaking lockdown rules like this, they're banned from playing if football restarts.'
