Colorado cops are combing the area for man spotted wearing a Ku Klux Klan hood (a symbol of hate and violence) to go grocery shopping.
The man strolled into the City Market in Dillon Thursday and proceeded to shop until he was asked to leave, which he refused to do until an employee at the store called the cops.
The perpetrator fled before officers arrived, but cops are letting him off the hook that easily as they are using surveillance footage to identify him and his vehicle.

“Right now, they’re trying to identify him, contact him and take it from there. Obviously, we take this kind of action very seriously,” spokeswoman for the grocery store said. The grocery chain distances itself from the appalling incident via a statement that reads,
“We ask our customers to respect these values as well when in our stores. Our store leaders are empowered to swiftly and respectfully address anyone who disregards these values, which includes blatant symbols of hate and intolerance.”In an unrelated incident, another man was spotted donning a KKK hood while buying groceries earlier this month in Santee, California. He eventually took off the hood while shopping May 4 at a Von supermarket after being asked several times by clerks and a supervisor.
“San Diego is #NoPlaceForHate,” Tammy Gillies, regional director of the Anti-Defamation League in San Diego, said on Twitter.
