A U.S Border Patrol agent identified as Juan David Ortiz, was arrested after a woman he tried to abduct escaped and alerted the police.
Webb County District Attorney, Isidro Alaniz said investigators are still trying to establish a motive for the killings, describing Ortiz as a serial killer. He said all of the women worked as prostitutes.

Alaniz said authorities were planning on filing four murder charges and one charge of aggravated kidnapping against Ortiz.
