The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police department have released bodycam footage from the shooting of Caleb Hill after he was identified as the man who randomly stabbed two African-American ladies at a bus stop in West Valley.
The 38-year-old was reportedly stabbing his second victim when the police arrived after previously attacking another on a bus.
LVMPD Assistant Sheriff Tim Kelly said:
Both victims have been treated and released.
Hill has been charged with attempted murder and evading arrest in absentia.
Two of the officers have been placed on administrative leave as Hill is reportedly in a critical condition at University Medical Center (UMC).

LVMPD Assistant Sheriff Tim Kelly said:
"If he’s already caused harm to two individuals, and is not complying with uniformed officers, he doesn’t want to be arrested. You don’t necessarily get that close. If an individual swings around with that knife, it only takes one precise hit and then you’re down."
"We believe there are some illicit drugs. But we’re waiting on toxicology reports to come back."As Hill continued to jog away from police, a commuter in a black SUV tried to block him. But Kelly said what the good Samaritan attempted was not a good idea.
"The individual who pulled over his car, if his door was unlocked, now the suspect has access to a vehicle and potentially another hostage."
"They did everything that they could to try to prevent from using deadly force and it was ineffective."
"We’ve had a significant amount of individual here over the last month or so that have exhibited extreme aggressive and violent behavior. Our officers are trained to deal with that, not the public. Let us do our job."LVMPD said Hill has a rather long criminal record battery, possession of firearms and drugs, and being a fugitive from another state.
