Hugo Gonzalez was arrested for detonating an explosive device at a Sam's Club in Ontario, a membership-only warehouse chain owned by Walmart, the Ontario Police Department said. There were no injuries nor casualties from the blast.

The Police tweeted:
"There appears to be no structural damage or any injuries at this point. All employees and customers are accounted for."
The 49-year-old suspect was arrested about four miles from the blast scene and a thorough search of his car yielded another explosive device, according to local media.

Armed police set a parameter around an address in the Fontana neighbourhood, believed to be the suspect's apartment.

A few residents were evacuated as safety precautions.
