The "earthquake mode" means the Los Angeles'
Fire Department will check buildings, power lines and dams as they seize this opportunity to prepare for the big one if/when it happens. Hope not!!

An early caution system is currently being worked on in an attempt to give residents about 12 seconds of warning before shaking startsas experts predict a future 7.8 earthquake- three times stronger than the one that hit in 1994 and an estimate of 50,000 people will be affected if it happens.

The US Geological Survey(USGS)  predicts the State has a 46% chance of a 7.5 earthquake or larger within the next thirty years.

More reports will be shared as they develop.
