A hundred and more killed in avalanche slide along Afghan-Pakistani border

Over hundred people were killed and more buried in avalanches in Afghanistan and Pakistan villages following a three-day snowfall.

Amongst the casualties are mostly women and children.

Most of the casualties occurred in Afghanistan as many - over 60 in number are injured as fear grips the numbers of casualties may spike...

Evacuation efforts are underway for those that are buried in the avalanches and to leave the region as another snow storm is believe to lash the same region again on Friday.

A large avalanche has been reported in Nuristan's Bargi Matal district. Roads are closed, but we are working to reach by air
