PHOTOS: BOYCOTTS IN BATON ROUGE FORCES MALLS AND MANY BUSINESSES TO SHUT DOWN

Community and Religious leaders called for an economic boycott of Mall of Louisiana, Cortana Mall and all local Walmarts in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for 3 days in the wake of the Alton Sterling shooting last week.

They advocated for a three-day "selective buying campaign" aimed at pressuring Baton Rouge leaders to take action against two city police officers implicated in the fatal shooting of Alton Sterling, 37, in front of the Triple S Food Mart on North Foster Drive.

According to a Baton Rouge Resident, Keri Pooler, over the weekend , the people kept to their words and made sure they boycotted malls and food courts. This of course forced business owners to close early.
