A police bus was a target of a bomb attack in Istanbul, Turkey killing seven policemen and five civilians. 

It happened near Beyazit Square neighbourhood, a major tourist attraction in the City.

According to the Governor of Istanbul, Vasip Sahin, 36 other people were injured in the daredevil attack.

Police suspects the attack was perpetrated by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party.
