Charlamagne Tha God received huge backlash after an old interview where he admitted he raped his wife the first time they met emerged. The damning interview emerged the same week a woman, Jessica Reid took allegations of rape against the presenter to the Supreme Court.
She accused Charlamagne of raping her when she was 15-years-old in 2001 and has taken the allegations to the South Carolina Supreme Court’s disciplinary counsel accusing the prosecution of improperly handling the criminal case originally.
In the old interview, Charlamagne said:
