James Anthony "Jimmy" Scandirito, 49, has been arrested in connection to the death of his father, former judge James "Skip" Scandirito, 75, who resigned in 2000 following sexual misconduct charges a classic #METOO.
Skip Scandirito resigned from Michigan and moved to Florida continued working as a senior attorney representing caseworkers and abused children for Florida Department of Children and Families but was
fired in 2003 after the agency learnt of allegations - he used his position as a Michigan district judge to help five women with traffic tickets, drunken driving arrests and a bad check charge in exchange for sex.

Jimmy had reported his dad missing subsequent search and questioning exposed inconsistencies in the son's stories.
The body of the former judge was found on April 4 - three days after he was reported missing, at an abandoned golf course close to his Florida home.

April 9, Jimmy was arrested on a warrant from Palm Beach County when the Toyota Prius on Interstate 75 near Gainesville was stopped for a stolen license plate.
He faces murder charges by the Alachua Sheriff Department.

Skip Scandirito was reportedly contesting the decision to revoke his law license over predatory sexual misconduct:
"I did a very good job and there were a couple of allegations. And instead of fighting it, I moved to Florida," he told the AP in 2003.
When asked his reason for resigning the position of trial court judge, Skip Scandirito, then 59, wrote:
"Retired to move to Florida."
I mean he did retired and moved to Florida technically.
