CRUEL FATHER ASSAULTS '10-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER' BY HIRING SOMEONE TO PERFORM GENITAL MUTILATION ON HER WITH A RAZOR BLADE ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS AS PUNISHMENT

Central Criminal Court of England and Wales presiding over a case of genital mutilation performed on a 10-year-old girl on two separate occasions as punishment.
An unnamed father-of-four, 50, recruits someone to perform genital mutilation on his 10-year-old daughter using razor blade as punishment to the little girl at their home in south London between 2010 and 2013.
Prosecutor Mark Heywood said:

"This was not apparently done out of any cultural or family reason but more in the way of punishment,"

"On two occasions he had someone come to the house and, using a sharp implement - she though a razor blade - had her cut repeatedly in a series off deliberate actions causing serious injury to her small body."

He continued:

"At times his dealings were harsh and cruel," 

"His style of control led him to resort to shouting, belittling, name-calling and violent chastisement, well beyond the bounds of the corrective or disciplinary actions of a kind that might be used by a normal and loving father."

"This was no light tap or gentle reminder to step back into line."

"He shouted his message at them and reinforced it by beating them, at times forcefully using a stick or slipper to inflict pain." 

The cruel father has since denied all allegations of abuse - hitting or cutting his children, suggesting it's all made up either at the instigation of their mother or because of the breakdown of the marriage, jurors were told.

At Old Bailey, the suspect, from south London, denies two counts of female genital mutilation, two alternative counts of wounding with intent and three counts of cruelty to a child.

The trial is on-going.
