MARK ZUCKERBERG AGREES TO TESTIFY TO THE US CONGRESS ON ON-GOING DATA SCANDAL INVOLVING FACEBOOK AFTER REFUSING TO TESTIFY IN THE ENGLAND

The Facebook CEO had refused to honor invitation by MPs to testify in United Kingdom.
Facebook sources told CNN that Zuckerberg 'had come to terms with the fact that he will have to testify.'

He told a CNN interviewer:
"The short answer is I'm happy to if it's the right thing to do."
"What we try to do is send the person at Facebook who will have the most knowledge. If that's me, then I am happy to go."

The illegal data-harvesting scandal has cost him over $10 billion as Facebook's share price has nose-dive.

If the FTC can prove Facebook violated terms of the consent decree, it has the right to fine it thousands of dollars daily per violation, adding up to billions of dollars.
"We remain strongly committed to protecting people´s information,' Facebook Deputy Chief Privacy Officer Rob Sherman said in a statement on Monday. 'We appreciate the opportunity to answer questions the FTC may have."

Zuckerberg said in apology ads placed in newspapers across Britain and U.S:
"The was a breach of trust, and I'm sorry we didn't do more at the time, we are now taking steps to make sure this doesn't happen again."
