21yr old lady haunted by her decision to have an abortion, hanged herself after listening to Ed Sheeran's song 'small bump'

Jade Rees, a young single mother of one, killed herself after struggling to come to terms with an abortion she had just weeks earlier. She terminated her pregnancy after a five month relationship with the unborn baby's father ended and he began dating another woman. But her decision left her ''upset and distressed'' and three weeks later she took her own life after listening to Ed Sheeran's song 'Small Bump' which the artiste recorded in response to a friend’s miscarriage at five months.

Tragic Jade left a handwritten note addressed to her parents and also her two-year-old son to explain the struggles she had faced since the procedure. One note said of her child:
''He means everything to me''.
An inquest heard Jade, from Oldham, Greater Manchester, had a history of eating disorders and had battled depression since she was just 14.

She had been prescribed antidepressants after being diagnosed with anorexia but was taken off the tablets when she fell pregnant with her son in 2013.

Although Jade split from the boy's father when she was just four months pregnant with him, she had coped “exceptionally” well as a doting single mother.

She met her latest boyfriend in early 2015 but they split after she became pregnant with his child.
Devastated by the break-up she had the termination soon afterwards in October last year. It is not known how far gone she was at the time of the procedure.

The hearing was told Jade's mental state worsened when she went to a pub she used to visit with her ex-boyfriend only to discover he had asked the landlord to bar her.

Initially she took an overdose of tablets although she had not told anybody or pursued any medical treatment. Then 48 hours later she took another overdose and was taken by her father to the Royal Oldham Hospital's A&E department.

Jade stayed in hospital for two days before being discharged.

Dr Easodhavidhya Elango, a trainee psychiatric specialist, told the inquest how she had come to know Jade, following her visit to the Royal Oldham Hospital.
She said:
''She told me about the abortion she had just three weeks earlier, and how the split from her ex-partner had been very distressing for her. She told me she believed he had a new girlfriend and was struggling to come to terms with it.
''She denied having any past medical history or any form of psychotic illness. When I asked her about this, she said 'For God's sake, I have a son to look after. She told me she regretted taking the overdose, and promised to keep herself safe.”
She eventually hung herself at her home.

Italian league footballers Maxi Lopez and Mauro Icardi continued their long standing feud as Maxi Lopez snubbed Icardi's handshake instead opting to grab his crotch before kick-off in Sunday’s Serie A match against Inter Milan.

One time friends and former Sampdoria teammates Lopez and Icardi fell out over former model Wanda, who divorced her first husband (Lopez) after accusing him of cheating on her. She married Inter striker Icardi, 23, in May 2014 shortly after the divorce was finalised.

The affair between Icardi, Maxi Lopez and Nara was exposed in November 2013 when it was revealed Icardi had made moves on his former friend’s wife as their marriage fell apart. See how Maxi snubbed Icardi in the video below...

FOOTBALL: Super Eagles' Alex Iwobi is a loss to England - Arsene Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says Alex Iwobi's decision to play for Nigeria and not England is a loss to the Three Lions of England. 19 year old Iwobi has scored in his last two games for Arsenal and in their last match against Watford scored a goals and assisted another, leaving bigger players like Theo Walcott and Joel Campbell on the bench.
England persuaded Iwobi and his family to play for them after evaluating his talent and enormous potential but the attacker, who is also nephew to Austin Jay Jay Okocha opted to play for the country of his birth- Nigeria.

“Is he a loss for England? Yes,” Wenger said.
“We have values in our club that are maybe not rated always, but one of them is to give a chance to young people and educate them. “Every year we bring players out and not many can say that. I’m happy Alex is one of them.”

Wenger concedes that Iwobi's rapid development has been surprising to witness, but says the forward who made his competitive debut for Nigeria during the lastinternational break has been working on his skills all season long.

"The fans have seen many good players over the years and they know straight away when a player has something special, so they acknowledge that," Wenger told Arsenal Player.

"You cannot cheat people. They've seen how quickly Alex's improved and how well he's played.
"It's surprising how quickly he's integrated into our game. He's worked with us since the start of the season and he has grown, gained confidence and when he came in he had an impact straight away.

"That's benefited from the fact that he knows everybody and they trust him as well. I didn't expect that level of efficiency or impact on the scoresheet."

TERROR ON TERROR: ISIS kills 15 of its members for 'spying' following assassination of senior ISIS chief

ISIS has killed 15 of its members for spying on them, in what is the largest execution carried out by the terrorist organisation on it self. This comes following the assassination of senior Islamic State terrorist boss, Abu Hija al-Tunisi, who was killed on Wednesday in an air strike. Some senior ISIS figures feel some of it's members snitched on the terrorist organisation.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the 15 military commanders were killed in a countryside near Raqqa for 'espionage and corruption on Earth' and 'impersonating al-Hisba (ISIS religious police) members'.

It comes as another monitoring group today said a leader of an al-Qaeda faction in Syria has also been killed in a U.S. air strike in Idlib.
According to the SITE Intelligence Group, Abu Firas al-Souri, a spokesman for the Nusra Front, was killed along with his son and several other people.

ISIS has suffered major defeats in Syria over the past months amid intense airstrikes by Russian warplanes.
The Syrian army command said in a statement that troops have 'restored security and stability to Qaryatain and farms surrounding it'.

Ex 1D: Zayn Malik breaks 3 records with his first solo album and gives credit to weed

Fomer One Direction star Zayn Malik has set a new record as the first UK male artiste to debut at No.1 in the U.S charts with his first solo album meaning he has effectively knocked out Adele from the number one spot.

Zayn has also become the first UK male artist to reach the top of the American charts in 28 years after George Michael’s 'Faith' in 1988.

And if that wasn’t enough, Billboard also say that Zayn is the first UK act to debut at number one since One Direction released their first ever album in 2012, Up All Night.

His album 'mind of mine' with hit track 'pillow talk' reached number one in an amazing 83 countries on iTunes within 24 hours of it's release.

‘I’ve probably been smoking for a while,’ he told NME. ‘I don’t wanna say when I started because I don’t want to influence anyone else. That’s just something I do myself. It helps sometimes with the creative process, if you’re smoking a good weed.’

Tupac Shakur's stepfather up for parole after spending 30 years in prison

Rapper, Tupac Shakur's step father, Mutulu Shakur made the FBI's most wanted list in 1986. Hee was eventually captured, convicted and sentenced to 60 years in prison for leading a revolutionary group responsible for a trail of bloodshed, including the slayings of an armed guard and two New York police officers. Shakur was also charged with aiding fellow revolutionary Joanne Chesimard (Assata Shakur) escape from a New Jersey prison, where she eventually fled to Cuba. But after serving half his prison sentence, Mutulu Shakur might soon be a free man.

The 65-year-old, stepfather to the late rapper Tupac Shakur, is eligible for mandatory parole after serving 30 years of the 60-year sentence he was given in 1988 for masterminding a string of deadly armed robberies in New York and Connecticut committed by a militant political group known as "The Family."
His parole hearing is to take place this week at the federal penitentiary in Victorville, California, where he is serving his sentence, according to U.S. Justice Department spokesman Peter Carr.

Michael Paige, who is the son of one of the slain armed guards isn't happy about the upcoming parole hearing.
He said:
"That's the going rate? Thirty years for at least three lives that were taken?" he said. "I was 16 years when he was killed by these animals. Not a day goes by that I don't think about my father."
Following Mutulu Shakur's parole hearing, a hearing officer will make a recommendation to the U.S. Parole Commission on whether or not he should be released. The federal commission will make the final decision on whether to grant parole.

Although federal parole was abolished in 1987, it is still granted for inmates convicted before then. And under the rules in place at the time of his conviction, parole is mandatory for Shakur unless a commission finds he is likely to reoffend or has frequently violated prison rules.

MEDICINE: Surgeons save Brazilian man's hand by sewing it into his stomach

Surgeons have helped save a Brazilian man’s hand from being amputated by putting it inside a 'pocket' in his stomach.
Carlos Mariotti, 42, who's a machine production operator suffered a horrific work accident that peeled off all the skin on his hand.
Mr Mariotti was operating a machine that manufactures coils at a plastic factory,  when his hand was dragged into the heavy duty equipment. He said it was like watching a movie play out in front of him when he saw the machine pulling his hand in and he couldn’t do anything stop it from happening. He said he started screaming but when his colleagues did not immediately respond to his screams, he wrenched his hand out of the machine himself.

Shortly after he pulled his hand out,he colleagues came running and tried to save the hand by wrapping it tightly in bandages.

Fortunately,  Doctors were able to save his hand by putting it inside his abdomen and covered it with a flap of protective skin.
Marriotti now has to keep his damaged hand inside the soft tissue pouch for six weeks.
Orthopaedic and traumatology doctor, Boris Brandao, who performed the rare surgery said:
"Mr Marriotti suffered a de-gloving injury which left him with very little skin on the palm and back of his hand, exposing the bones and tendons inside.
“This was a very large and delicate injury and the only place we could fit the whole hand was in the abdomen. Without this procedure, there would be a high risk of infection and the tissue and tendons would rot away,” Dr Brandao said.
Mr Mariotti who is still recovering in the hospital said:
“I still get very emotional when I think about the accident. But it was only when doctors told me I could lose my hand that I realised the gravity of the situation.
“When I woke up from the operation I didn’t know whether it was still there. I couldn’t believe it when they said they had tucked my hand inside me.”
“It’s a really weird feeling trying to wiggle my fingers inside my body and creepy seeing my tummy protrude slightly as I prod around,” Mr Mariotti said.
Mariotti lost two fingers of his right fingers- his index and middle fingers - in the accident.
He added:
“I am just so grateful because at least I will still be able to hold a fork, grip a steering wheel and dress myself without any help.”

Dr Brandao said medics decided to perform an immediate “salvaging” procedure because “if we can save a hand we always try to find a way to do so.”
He explained:
“In order to keep the wounded hand alive, we opened the abdomen, took off the skin and put it inside the cavity to protect it. The patient’s hand must stay in the pocket for about 42 days to ensure it develops new tissue and tendon material which is capable of receiving a replanted skin graft.”
"Mr Mariotti will suffer impaired function as he will not get all the movement back in his hand.
“But he will have a working hand and will be able to do the pincer movement. At least this is a better quality of life compared to having an amputated hand,” he said.

Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi owns a shell company along with his father, Mega Star Enterprises, which was previously unknown to Spanish investigators probing the Barcelona forward’s tax affairs.
