Khanzadi’s mother notified the police when she failed to receive any response from their house the morning after the wedding.
Policemen, with the help of the victim’s brother Ali Sher Lashari, forced entry into the house, only to discover Khanzadi’s lifeless body on the bed. Her husband was missing.
Ali Sher lodged an FIR against Qalandar Bux and his four brothers, accusing them of strangulating his sister to death.
The victim’s mother told reporters that Qalandar Bux and Khanzadi were cousins and the marriage took place with their consent.
Meanwhile, sources in the area speculated that Qalandar Bux killed the bride because she was “not a virgin”, while others claim that a heated argument erupted between the newly-wed couple regarding a delay in the wedding ceremony due to certain customs.
Area police have since carried out several raids but have failed to make any arrests.

FOOTBALL: BUNDESLIGA Some B. Dortmund fans protest Gotze's possible return
Mario Gotze has been linked with a return to Borussia Dortmund but a section of supporters left the club's hierarchy in doubt as to their thoughts on a potential move with an unflattering banner in Saturday's 3-2 win over Werder Bremen.
Gotze, who came through Dortmund's youth academy, controversially joined rivals Bayern Munich in 2013 after the Bavarian club triggered a reported €37 million release clause.
The Germany international has made a limited impact since moving to Bavaria, with injury hampering his form in 2015-16 and limiting him to just three appearances since the start of October for the Bundesliga champions.
Reports have linked World Cup winner Gotze with a move to Real Madrid, Milan and Liverpool in the close-season, but Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke recently stated that the club has left the door open for a return to Signal Iduna Park.
However, some Dortmund fans are not so keen on a Gotze reunion, unfurling a banner that read: "Milan or Madrid - the main thing is not Dortmund! P*** off Gotze."

FOOTBALL: Peter Schmeichel believes Wayne Rooney should play in the midfield
Peter Schmeichel believes Wayne Rooney has all the attributes to be the "engine" of the Manchester United midfield but claims the England captain must have desire to change his role.
"Wayne can play in different positions," the ex-United stopper added. "If you ask Wayne I think he wants to play in the No.10 position.
"But I'd like to see Wayne develop into a midfield player. He can play a little bit like Paul Scholes could. I'm sure he can develop the engine to play in midfield.
"Wayne's vision, the way he sees football is really beneficial to the way Manchester United should play.
"He can play the long passes. He can tackle, he can win the ball back and he can defend. But Wayne has to want to play in that position."

Five African migrants die, 15 injured following mass escape from overcrowded detention centre in Libya
The details are still sketchy but at one point there seems to have been a confrontation between some of the escaping migrants and guards who form part of the Al Nasser Militia, also responsible for guarding the nearby refinery.
"We don’t know how it happened yet but at one point there was an exchange of fire. It didn’t last long but at least five migrants are dead and 15 are injured," a source from Zawiya told Migrant Report
The injured were taken to the nearby hospital in Zawiya, which is about 45kms from the capital Tripoli. The detention centre in Zawiya is severely overcrowded with more thousands of migrants.
"We are informed there may be as many as 15,000 migrants," the same source told Migrant Report. "The conditions are terrible, severe overcrowding, no proper sanitation or proper medical facilities. It’s disastrous," he said.
Most of the migrants staying there were arrested or intercepted at sea this year, according to the source.
