U.S.A: Teenage girl who was thought dead squeezes her mom's hand as her organs were about to be harvested

When a lifeless 14-year-old girl shot during the crazy Uber driver in the Kalamazoo rampage was brought into hospital, doctors immediately thought she was dead.
Police announced the teenager was the seventh victim of the horrific shooting spree on Sunday night while hospital staff got ready to harvest her organs.
But as her mother stood next to her, for what she thought would be the last time, the youngster suddenly squeezed her hand.
The girl, who has been referred to only as A.K in court documents, was then rushed into surgery at Bronson Hospital in Michigan.
As of Monday morning, she was still fighting for her life.
She was hit by bullets allegedly fired by Jason Dalton , a crazy Uber driver on Saturday night while she sat in a car in the parking lot of a Cracker Barrel.
The other four passengers - Mary Lou Nye, 63, Mary Jo Nye, 60, Dorothy Brown, 74, and Barbara Hawthorne, 68 - were all killed. The teenager was rushed to hospital with injuries so severe, doctors believed she hadn't made it.

When her parents arrived, doctors told them she was brain dead. Around two hours after that, she was getting ready for surgery when she incredibly showed signs of life.
Michigan State Police First Lt. Dale Hinz described the moment the girl showed signs of life.

He told Michigan Live: 'The only word to describe it is wow. It's absolutely a miracle that she's alive and we're definitely hopeful for her continued improvement.

The Gov told reporters: 'She’s got all our thoughts and prayers to have a chance to come back. So it’s going to be quite a recovery period.'

Father-of-two Dalton surrendered to police on Sunday morning after he allegedly fired a barrage of 30 bullets at eight innocent and defenseless people during a five-hour rampage.
It was later revealed he was an Uber driver who was picking up and dropping off passengers in between his shooting sprees.
Some who got in his car to use his service said he was driving erratically and one even called 911 to report his bizarre behavior when they got out.

Mum arrested for making no effort to save her 6 year old screaming daughter from house fire

A mother accused of making no effort to rescue her screaming six-year-old daughter from a house fire as she fled the blaze to save herself wept in court on Sunday.
Erica Rosello, 32, allegedly escaped the property in Miami on Thursday night as the blaze consumed her apartment - but left her daughter behind.
The fire is said to have taken hold of the home after Rosello poured water on an oil fire in the kitchen.
She became separated from her daughter and ran out of the apartment before allegedly flagging down a car and asking the driver to take her to a friend's house, WSVN reported.

Firefighters were called to the apartment and were able to break through a window to rescue the girl, who was unconscious from smoke inhalation.
She was taken to Nicklaus Children's Hospital but has since been released and is expected to make a full recovery.
Meanwhile Rosello, who by this time was said to be at her friend's house, called her mother, Angelica Tabio.

Ms Tabio said:
'When her friend calmed her down - that friend has my phone number - he called me, and the first thing she told me was, '"Mom, she is dead."'
The grandmother said she replied:
'"What do you mean she is dead? No, she is here in the hospital."'

Rosello later arrived at the hospital, where she was arrested.

A man who features prominently on Rosello's Facebook page and appears to be her boyfriend is a firefighter. The identity of the girl's father is not known.

Rosello is charged with child neglect and is not allowed to contact her daughter, who is now in the custody of Ms Tabio, her Grand mother.
Rosello wept in court on Sunday as she was told she could not see her daughter. She posted a $7,500 bond and is being held under house arrest.

Ms Tabio told the news station that Rosello loves her daughter but suffered from postpartum depression. She also thanked firefighters for saving her granddaughter's life.

Firefighters involved in the rescue of the six-year-old told CBS Miami about the moment they smashed a window and carried her to safety.

Miami-Dade firefighter David Arrencibia said he could hear the girl crying when he arrived at the home.
'The bed was literally two feet from the window and I happened to see the little girl,' he said.
Realizing there was no time to wait for a ladder, he smashed a window and got his partner to lift him inside.

'I could tell she was unconscious. I picked her up, turned around and took her out the window,' he said.
'I feel accomplished. I’m grateful that the situation was such that we were able to get her out as quickly as we did. Had we taken another three, four minutes the outcome would have been different.'

14 year old girl is electrocuted after charging her phone while in the bath

A teenage girl who tried to use her mobile phone while in the bath was killed when the charger
plugged into an extension cord, fell into the water. The tragic incident happened in Moscow where the girl lived with her mother, 40, and her older brother.
Her mother found the 14-year-old and said she was so badly electrocuted that her body had started to burn. She had locked the bathroom door and used an extension lead to plug in her phone. When the mother realised that her daughter, who hasn’t been named, had been in the bathroom for a long time, she started to call for her to come out. After she heard no response, she forced her way inside and found her daughter’s lifeless body.
The mum said the teenager had the charger in her hands and the mobile phone was on the floor, and she had used an extension lead because there were no plugs in the bathroom.

Russians queue for up to three days to get their hands on a pair of adidas yeezy sneakers

These aren't the best of times for the Russian economy what with oil selling at rock bottom prices but residents of Moscow just don't care. Muscovites queued for up to three days in their quest to be proud owners of a pair of Yeezy sneakers. Human traffic was so congested police had to be called in to bring things under control and clear the way for vehicular traffic.
More  photos...

The popular shoes were available in only three stores in all of Moscow for between £155 to £175. Some of the buyers admitted they were making the purchase in order to make a crazy profit selling at more than double the retail price, with this much demand, I'll say they're in business.

His ex-GF Currium (left) took to social media to expose him. The ex claims she and Sage, real name Dominic Wynn Woods, were working on rebuilding their relationship last year when Sage started seeing Jordin. She claims through out the time he was with Jordin, he was always begging her to give them another chance.

She claims this conversation occurred while Sage and Jordin were still together.
"Those are pictures. [In our relationship] everything was f*cking horrible. That b*tch was f*cking dumb. She got on my nerves. I wanted to stab her. Don't get me wrong, she's cool, I mean she's level headed. But she's not no regular person. You know. . . .

Nigerian-born doctor left critically injured and fighting for life after being hit by lorry in Las Vegas

Dr Sebastian Kola-Bankole, from Camden, UK is fighting for his life after he was knocked down by a lorry as he crossed a road off the Sunset Strip on February 15. The 35-year-old doctor, from the Royal London Hospital, had flown out to Los Angeles before the accident for a friend’s wedding.

But his family, who have travelled out to be at his bedside, cannot find a record of him taking out travel insurance so they are faced with paying for his mounting medical bills. They have launched a £250,000 appeal for treatment and to bring him home to the UK.

Dr Kola-Bankole, who specialises in infectious diseases, has three broken vertebrae in his neck and has already had emergency operations to his spine, ears and arteries. He is in an induced coma in intensive care at the Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas and it will be at least two weeks before he is stable enough to be repatriated.

The cost of the treatment and of bringing him back to the UK on a  specialist medical flight is estimated to be £250,000. The online fund had today reached £100k just 48 hours after it was launched.

A close friend, Dr Pawandeep Sarai, who spoke to the Standard described the young doctor as the most selfless and giving person"
"He is still in a  critical condition. We are all doing everything we can for Seb to get him the treatment he needs and back to the UK. His family are obviously devastated by what has happened.
"Seb is just the most selfless, giving person, everyone who has met him will know what a huge personality he has.
"He volunteers for charities, he is always giving to others. He’s a very dear friend and a very caring doctor and he needs our help to get home."

Dr Kola-Bankole is believed to have been hit outside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The collision is currently being investigated by Las Vegas police.
His friends, many of whom are  doctors, are now looking for a suitable hospital in London that will agree to take him. It is thought St Mary’s in Paddington could provide treatment.

Nigerian-born Dr Kola-Bankole  graduated from University College London in 2008 and was based until recently in the infectious diseases department at the Royal London, but had taken time off for the US trip.

"Seb is usually incredibly organised, but we can’t find any insurance for this trip... we’ve been on his email and looked in his flat. We are working on the assumption there is no insurance." said Dr Sarai.
