Saudi Arabian jets bomb Iranian embassy in Yemen as tensions mount

Saudi jets have 'deliberately' bombed the Iranian embassy in Yemen in an air raid that wounded staff, Tehran has claimed today. Warplanes struck the building as they pounded Yemen's capital Sanaa on Wednesday night, Iran claimed, as tensions with Saudi Arabia continued to mount.

Iran's foreign ministry spokesman described the strike as a 'deliberate action' and a 'violation of all international conventions that protect diplomatic missions'.

Hossein Jaber Ansari said: 'The Saudi government is responsible for the damage caused and for the situation of members of staff who were injured.'

The Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen will investigate the accusation, according to the group'sn spokesman Brigadier General Ahmed Asseri said.

Coalition jets carried out heavy strikes in Sanaa on Wednesday night to target missile launchers used by the Houthi militia to fire at Saudi Arabia, he said, adding that the group has used civilian facilities including abandoned embassies.

Asseri said the coalition had requested all countries to supply it with coordinates of the location of their diplomatic missions and that accusations made on the basis of information provided by the Houthis 'have no credibility'.

But witnesses in Sanaa said they could see no damage at the Iranian Embassy and that it was still standing.

A full-blown split between Sunni-majority Saudi Arabia and Shiite-dominated Iran erupted at the weekend when Riyadh executed prominent Shiite cleric and activist Nimr al-Nimr. Nimr's death sparked demonstrations in many countries including Iran, where protesters stormed and set fire to the Saudi embassy in Tehran as well as the kingdom's consulate in second city Mashhad.

ANTIGAY: Ban on same-sex marriage BY Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore...

Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore issued an order Wednesday informing the state’s probate judges of their “ministerial duty not to issue any marriage license contrary” to Alabama’s constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage.

Despite the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2015 decision overturning such state bans, Moore maintains Alabama’s law is still valid, and that as chief justice he is empowered to “take affirmative and appropriate action to correct or alleviate any condition or situation adversely affecting the administration of justice within the state.”

NIGERIA: Boko Haram suicide attack left 7 dead in a village in Borno State

On the 5th January 2016, a resident of the state identified as Ishaku who spoke with AFP about the attacks which is the first in 2016, said
"I received information from my relatives who fled the attack... that some Boko Haram gunmen on bicycles attacked Izgeki across the river from Izghe on Tuesday morning where they killed two people.

The attack forced villagers to cross the river into Izghe. The gunmen pursued them. One of them who had a suicide belt on him blew himself up near the market, killing five people". In a related development, members of the sect group also attacked Nchiha village near Chibok on Tuesday at about 10pm. Ayuba Chibok, an elder in the town said "Luckily no-one was hurt but they (Boko Haram gunmen) looted food and burnt a large part of the village".

ISIS: ISIS displays A driverless carbomb

Driverless cars are supposed to be a sign of a tranquil future, where pleasant machines cart relaxed guests around, handling all the messiness of automobile travel. They’ve also long been the interest of the military, which through DARPA in 2003 challenged inventors to make a machine that, by itself, could navigate a 300-mile stretch between Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

The goal was a technological solution to a messy problem from the insurgencies fought in Iraq and Afghanistan: convoys carrying supplies were frequently attacked, with lives often lost in the process. If resupply could be driverless, it would save lives.
Now, it appears, ISIS has created a driverless car with the exact opposite objective: remotely controlled, a driverless car bomb could be just as deadly as a suicidal one, and without the high cost of a fighter in the driver seat, too.
As reported by Sky News, ISIS has posted an instructional video on how to turn a car into a remote-controlled weapon. It includes remote steering, a machine to hit the pedals, and a foil-wrapped laser-eyed mannequin in the front seat to fool infrared cameras.

Terror Attack In Libya: Atleast 40 killed and many left injured...

A massive explosion rocked a police training camp in the city of Zliten today. The blast took place around 8:00 am when around 400 recruits were doing their morning exercises. Reports say a truck bomb went off in the gate of Coast Guard Training Camp which is located on the coastal road in Souq Tolata area, causing a loud sound that was heard in Misrata, 60 km to the east of the city.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility but the blast bore the hallmarks of ISIS. Unconfirmed reports have said school children walking past the camp were among those dead.
