A former doctor identified as Martin Watt has been sentenced to 12 years behind bars after he amassed weapons with an assassination list of ex-colleagues he blamed for losing his doctor job at North Lanarkshire's Monklands Hospital in 2012 - around the same time his marriage crashed.
The 62-year-old was found with two pistols, three sub machine guns, one thousand and five hundred live cartridges at a property in Cumbernauld, Scotland, last year. He had also
carried out shooting practice.
He titled his assassination list 'Bad Guys'.
He was sentenced to 12 years in prison for building a stock of guns with the intent to endanger life.
His defense QC John Scott asked the ruling judge to take Watt's 30-year public service with the NHS and his age into consideration during the sentencing, he said:

Watt was given an extended sentence with twelve years in prison and an additional three years of supervision.
A serious crime prevention order was also granted restricting his internet use, travel and NHS visits for five years after his release from custody.
