FEMALE PENNSYLVANIA POLICE OFFICE FIRED FOR WRITING RACIAL SLUR ON SNAPCHAT

A white female police officer in Pennsylvania, Melissa Adamson, was fired for posting a snapchat selfie showing her in uniform with a racial slur written on the photo.

The snap showed Melissa, a part-time cop in McKeesport, wearing a uniform and sunglasses in a car, with the caption, "I'm the law today N***a." Once her bosses got wind of the snapchat photo, they fired her and she also resigned from another part-time police job in Versailles.

She called the photo "a stupid mistake" and insisted she's not a racist.
"Everyone that knows me knows I don't have a racist bone in my body," - she said.
"And people who don't know me, I can understand why it was misconstrued to where it looks racist. But like I said, everyone who knows me knows I'm not racist. I don't want this to affect how I do my job."
Melissa posted the photo on Facebook and that's how her superiors got to see the photo.
"This post displays a degree of conduct and character that is far different from what I would expect from an officer in this city," Mayor Michael Cherepko wrote in a Facebook post.
"It is absolutely unacceptable. Without hesitation, my office and Police Chief's office immediately concluded that this officer's actions will not be tolerated in the city of McKeesport."

TEEN SHOT AND KILLED HIS FATHER THEN SHOOTS UP TOWNVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN SOUTH CAROLINA

The suspect, whose name has not been released was accused by police of fatally shooting his 47-year-old father, Jeffrey DeWitt Osborne, then drove a pickup truck to Townville Elementary School where he crashed at the school's playground.

After the teenager began shooting, volunteer firefighter Jamie Brock pinned him down while staff led children to safety inside the building, Anderson County emergency services director Taylor Jones told a news conference.
Brock has been credited for saving the lives of everyone by tackling the suspect on time.
"(He) was there in the hot scene and risked his life to mitigate this incident," Jones said. "He just used enough force to take him to the ground."
Police arrived within seven minutes of a teacher calling 911 to take the suspect into custody at the school in Anderson County near the Georgia state line about 100 miles (160 km) northeast of Atlanta. The shooter never entered the building, said Chief Deputy Keith Smith.

One of the victims, a 6 year-old boy was shot in the leg, remained in critical condition. The other boy and a female teacher were treated and released, said Ross Norton, a spokesman for AnMed Health Medical Center.

His grandmother said the suspect was home-schooled and that he had called her while he cried but didn't understand what he was saying, so she went to visit her son, Osborne where she found him dead from a gunshot wound.
"She could not make out what he was saying because he was crying and upset and so they went to the house... and that's when she discovered her son and called 911," Coroner Greg Shore told news conference on Wednesday night.

Immediately after the shooting, armed officers guarded students as they were evacuated from the school and taken by bus to a nearby church, local media said. Television images showed police swarming the school, with some officers on the roof while others moved around the building.

Us Weekly claims that while Brad, 52, and Angelina, 41, were living together at their huge Hollywood Hills compound, they took to staying in different parts of the 80,000 sq ft estate.
"Angelina basically had her own wing and he (Brad) had his', a source close to Brad told the publication. 'They began living these separate lives."
A representative for Brad declined to comment when contacted by DailyMail.com.
A representative for did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The insider also revealed that the former couple who share six children, were fighting more and more ahead of the break-up.
'Their arguments progressively became more frequent,' the source said.
Brad allegedly 'didn't want to be alone' and turned to friends while working on his latest movie Allied to discuss his problems.

The couple's estate - which will be divided with their other properties as they hash out a $400 million divorce agreement after signing a prenup - is made up of five houses and features a skate par, three swimming pools and a secret cave.
Ian Halperin, author of Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, recently said that Angelina is considering relocating to the UK to further her political career.

IS IT NECESSARY?? WORLD'S FIRST THREE-PARENT BABY BORN FROM COMBINATION OF DNA FROM THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE

The world's first child created usin a controversial new "three-parent" baby technique has been born in Mexico.

Scientists say the technique combines DNA from three people - the mother, the father and an egg donor.
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE AND SHARE!!!

Limited details about the birth were revealed ahead of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine's Scientific congress in Salt Lake City next month, where it will be discussed more extensively.

According to critics, the procedure is tantamount to genetic modification of humans or even "playing God" but supporters sayit allows with a particular type of genetic disease to have healthy children who are related to them.

The magazine New Scientist, said the baby is now five months old and born to Jordanian parents. The work was carried out by a team of experts from the US led by Dr. John Zhang of the New Hope Fertility Center in New York. The goal was to prevent the baby from inheriting a fatal genetic disease from his mother, who had previously lost two children to the illness.

The child's mother has Leigh syndrome - a fatal disorder that affects the developing nervous system and would have been passed on in her mitochondrial DNA.

Although she is healthy, two of her children have died as a result of inheriting the disease: a girl who lived until she was six and an eight-month-old baby. The research summary identified the mother as 36-year-old and said her pregnancy was uneventful. One of the five eggs the researchers treated was suitable for use.

The technique used by Dr. John Zhang and his team involved removing some of the mother's DNA from an egg, and leaving the disease-causing DNA behind. The healthy DNA was slipped into a donor's egg, which was then fertilized. As a result, the baby inherited DNA from both parents and the egg donor.

The technique is sometimes said to produce "three-parent babies" , but the DNA contribution from the egg donor is very small. People carry DNA in two places, the nucleus of the cell and in features called mitochondria, which lie outside the nucleus. The technique is designed to transfer only DNA of the nucleus to the donor egg, separating it from the mother's disease-causing mitochondrial DNA.

Critics question the technique's safety, saying children would have to be tracked for decades to make sure they remain healthy. And they say it passes a fundamental scientific boundary by altering the DNA inherited by future generations. Mitochondrial DNA is passed from women to their offspring.

Still, last year, Britain became the first country in the world to allow creation of human embryos with the technique. In the U.S, a panel of government advisers said earlier this year that it's ethical to test the approach in people if initial experiments follow certain strict safety steps.

That report was requested by the Food and Drug Administration, which is currently prevented by Congress from considering applications to approve testing the technique in people.

Shroukhrat Mitalipov, who has worked with the approach at the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, said that given the panel's conclusion, "We believe it's time to move forward with FDA-approved clinical trials in the United States."

Henry Greely, who directs the Center for Law and the Biosciences at Stanford University, said Tuesday he sees nothing wrong with using the technique if it's safe and is aimed at diseases clearly caused by faulty mitochondrial DNA but he called the research leading to the newly reported birth "unethical, unwise, immoral."

He said the approach "hasn't been sufficiently proven safe enough to try to use to make a baby."

Dieter Egli of the New York Stem Cell Foundation, who has done work in the area, was cautious about the implications of the new report.

"I wouldn't go out there at this point and tout the accomplishment because we don't have enough information," he said Tuesday. "We do not know exactly what was done. We have to wait for a fuller report," - he said.
