AT LEAST FIVE DEAD AND TWENTY WOUNDED AFTER A GUNMAN OPENED FIRE IN A CAFE IN SERBIA.

A man identified only as Z.S arrived a cafe (Makijato Cafe) with a gun (an assault rifle), killed his wife then started shooting sporadically killing atleast five and injuring atleast twenty including children before he was eventually overpowered by customers in the cafe.

It happened somewhere near Zrenjanin, 30 miles off Belgrade, Serbia.
About 8 of the wounded are reported to be in critical conditions even after surgery.

The cause of the attack is unknown or unreported but the perpetrator has been arrested.

Serbia's Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said automatic weapons are illegal and urged the public to turn in the guns they got following the war that tore the country apart in the 1990s.
