FOOTBALL:U.S.A MLS: 'OBVIOUSLY A VERY BAD DAY FOR US' - LAMPARD LAMENTS DERBY THRASHING

Frank Lampard urged his New York City team-mates to move forward after suffering an embarrassing 7-0 loss to arch-rivals New York Red Bulls.

After missing the opening 12 matches of the season, Lampard was making his first appearance of the 2016 MLS campaign, but the former England international's return from injury was overshadowed as Red Bulls put New York City to the sword at Yankee Stadium on Saturday.
Amid a five-game unbeaten streak, the previously high-flying New York City came crashing back down to earth as braces apiece from Bradley Wright-Phillips and Dax McCarty gave Red Bulls bragging rights.
Speaking afterwards, Lampard - who replaced Andrea Pirlo with 15 minutes remaining and was greeted to a chorus of boos - said New York City had to get back to what they do best as they vie for top spot in the Eastern Conference.
"The only plus for me today is that physically I feel very good. It's been a difficult injury – so to feel good and feel 100 per cent and to come on and at least play a part is good for me personally but obviously a very bad day for us," Lampard said of his return.
"There's a lot to be done now. The first thing is that the league hasn't changed much. We lost a game, we lost three points, so we have to put that in perspective when we look forward as the plus.
"Obviously seven goals is a huge negative. We need to address the things that let us down today. We were all very honest here. Now is a tough day, and we need to address that, but now we need to start getting back to the things that were helping us get good results.
"Now is the time to take it on the chin and show a bit of character and get a good result."

WHAT A CLUELESS TEACHER: Girl whose African dress to prom was called tacky by a teacher says the teacher has apologized

A High school student,Mayalaya Zanders, who was told by a teacher that wearing an African dress to prom isn't really "something you wear to prom" went ahead and wore this gorgeous Ankara to her prom. She took to her IG page yesterday to say the teacher has since apologized, she has forgiven the teacher and has moved on. She also stated that she didn't want it to be about racism but about sharing her African culture. Initially she wrote:

"Thank you to everyone who gave me kind words on my prom dress. My date doesn't have social media so he's kinda nonchalant lol. The dress came after seeing the beautiful @jessnnecee wearing one similar to a ball. After discussing how beautiful it was and that I would do a african theme with a ) teacher I was told it wasn't really "something you wear to prom" Hellbent on proving them wrong and being someone who loves our culture and African glamorous style , me and @indelible_dcdecided to take the Ankara dress and put a twist on it. Little did I know it came out more beautiful, then I could've ever imagine!! My dress was to make a point. That African style is beautiful. That I am comfortable with my Melanin and roots. And finally that there's nothing like Black girl Magic❤️

Just after the Red Devils beat Crystal Palace 2-1 after extra-time to win the FA Cup at Wembley, reports circulated that the club had reached an agreement with the Portuguese manager to replace Louis van Gaal this summer.

While Van Gaal refused to address the speculation and maintained he will remain in charge, the rumours continued to grow, but Mourinho showed no signs of stress or excitement in the wake of the reports.

The 53-year-old looked perfectly relaxed as the guest of honour at David Haye's fight with Arnold Gjergjaj, which the Englishman won in the second round.
