Egyptian military discovers wreckage of flight #MS804 & passengers belongings north of Alexandria

The spokesperson for Egypt's military said on Friday morning that passengers belongings and wreckage from crashed EgyptAir flight MS804 had been found north of Alexandria.

The plane was en route to Cairo from Charle de Gaulle Airport in Paris on Wednesday when it disappeared from radar over the Mediterranean Sea, shortly after entering Egyptian airspace.

The military said in a statement that it detected parts of debris and some of the passengers’ belongings while searching for the aircraft's black box, according to Reuters.

The army's statement, posted on its official Facebook page, adds that the search operation is under way, involving naval vessels and military aircraft.

President Adbel Fattah al-Sisi expressed his condolences to families of those on board, signifying that it is considered unlikely that any of the people on board survived.

"The presidency, with utmost sadness and regret, mourns the victims on aboard the EgyptAir flight who were killed after the plane crashed in the Mediterranean on its way back to Cairo from Paris," a statement from Sisi's office was quoted by Reuters as saying.

EgyptAir has confirmed on its Twitter account that debris and personal belongings were found 295km away from the coast of Alexandria. The airline also tweeted condolences to the families of the victims.

"The Egyptian Armed Forces have informed EGPTAIR that they have found first debris from the missing aircraft operating flight MS804"

"EGYPTAIR sincerely conveys its deepest sorrow to the families and friends of the passengers onboard Flight MS804."

FOOTBALL: UNITED KINGDOM: Winning the F.A Cup is more important than qualifying for Champions League - Man U coach Van gaal

Britain's biggest club Manchester United missed out on the top four this season and entry into next season's Champions League, but Louis Van Gaal now says winning the FA Cup would be a bigger achievement.
Errrm, here at Old Trafford all the cups are important @ Mr. LvG
Van Gaal despite having an underwhelming season, with his job constantly linked to Jose Mourinho has a chance to win the F.A cup on Saturday, as Man U tackle sCrystal palace in Wembley.

“I think the interest of the club is much more important and the interest of the fans is more important than those of the manager,” said Van Gaal during his pre-match press conference according to Manutd.com.

“Of course, you have your own aims and that's one of the aims I have had always, so it's always exciting when you are so close, but close is not enough – you have to win it. A club like Manchester United needs silverware.

“I have read that the last FA Cup was 2004 so it's a long time ago, so also for Manchester United it's a big title I think, especially as it was a long time ago.

“We are very close, but still you have nothing when you don't win. So it's always a final you cannot predict.”

“I think it is always important,” said Van Gaal. “When you win silverware, it's important for the players, because a qualification is not a title.

“A title is the FA Cup or championship, because they can look and hold the trophy, so that's an exciting moment also. We are playing in the most prestigious temple in England, so everything has confirmed how important this trophy is.

“It is a while since we won anything, so it's very good if we win something. We have played four matches of the six away, so I think we deserve something also, I think.”

MURDER IN THE STATE: Pregnant woman executed for refusing abortion

Candace Pickens, 23, was a great mother to her 3 year old son, Zachaeus. Her Aunt, Irene Jenny Pickens, told The Washington Post:
“When she found out she was pregnant, she was scared at first." “But once she had that baby, it was so natural for her. “She loved being a mother. And no matter what she was going through, I think he was the one thing that kept her going.”
Unknown to her family members,  Candace Pickens was in a volatile and abusive relationship with Nathaniel Dixon, her boyfriend, a secret she managed to keep hidden from some a lot of people who knew her in Asheville, N.C., where she lived.

Her boyfriend, Nathaniel Elijah Dixon, had a violent history that included attempted robbery and allegations of domestic violence against another woman with whom he had a child, according to the Citizen-Times. In addition to Dixon’s extensive criminal history, police think he has possible ties to a Los Angeles street gang.

When Pickens recently discovered that she was pregnant with Dixon’s child, but Dixon who didn't want to be a father to another child suggested she abort it but abortion was not an option, she told friends and family members, she would have a second child.

However, early in the morning on May 12, her body was found by a jogger in a park in Asheville. She had been shot in the head at point-blank range, police said -executed. Beside her, was Zachaeus her son who had also been shot in the head but was clinging to life.

Just one day after his birthday, the 3-year-old had witnessed his mother being shot in the face before he endured the same fate and was left for dead.

Pickens was declared dead at the scene. Her son was taken to a hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery; he is in stable but critical condition, police said.

Mekia Waters, the child’s grandmother, said that Zachaeus was shot in the head and lost his left eye. On Wednesday,  she said:
“My grandson is in stable condition and doing great and he has the doctors surprised." “He’s moving his arms and legs and he’s doing more than what people expected.” “He’s talking, he asked for juice and he said ‘daddy,'” she added. “He even made his own song up about juice.”

Dixon, who also lives in Asheville, fled to Columbus, Ohio, where he was arrested last week, authorities said. Columbus police also rescued a 21-year-old female hostage when Dixon was taken into custody.

The 24-year-old is awaiting extradition back to North Carolina, where he has been charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury, authorities said.

To Pickens’s friends and relatives, the motive was clear.
“He found out she was pregnant and he wanted her to abort the baby,” Irene Jenny Pickens told The Post. “She would never do that. It wasn’t an option for her, and that’s what sparked the violence.”

“You could tell things were going on between them based on what she was posting on Facebook — but I don’t think anyone expected anything like this.”
However, a spokeswoman for the Asheville Police Department, Christina Hallingse, said authorities can’t confirm if Pickens’s apparent refusal to undergo an abortion was a motive in her killing.

A medical examiner confirmed that Pickens was pregnant at the time of her death, police said but that he didn’t know how far along she was in her pregnancy.

Given the medical examiner’s finding, police also charged Dixon with first-degree murder of an unborn child.

On Facebook, hours before his capture in Columbus, Dixon shared three posts — including two private videos — about Pickens

Using hashtags including #Ripbabymamaloveu and #candaceuwillbemissed. He wrote:
“Candace pickens was pregnant with my child…this morning i lost my child too,” he wrote. Many of his Facebook friends voiced support — although some pointed out that Dixon has been accused of killing the woman and unborn child he claimed to love, and nearly killing her firstborn son, as well.
The horrific double shooting shocked local residents.

Keith Ogden, senior pastor of Hill Street Baptist Church, said:
“Not only take this young mother’s life, cut down in her prime, cannot raise her son now, but then you turn around and shoot the child in the head,”. “That’s evil.”
Ogden held a memorial for Pickens at his church  on Saturday.

During the ceremony, Pickens’s father addressed the crowd, “saying he doesn’t have bitterness in his heart, but forgiveness.”

PAEDOPHILE ALERT: A Texas missionary admits molesting eight children at an orphanage in Malawi

They've gotta start keeping really close tabs on all these paedophiles taking advantage of these children in Africa...

PS: He should be serving his time in Malawi!!!

The A 66-year-old Texas missionary has admitted molesting eight children at an orphanage in Malawi, the US Justice Department says. Gerald Campbell used his position as general manager of the home to lure his victims into his accommodation and assault them.

He pleaded guilty on Wednesday, May 18 in a Texas magistrate's court to one count of engaging in illicit sexual conduct in a foreign place. Campbell admitted engaging in sexual acts with eight minors between 1997 and 2009 in the southern African country.

All the victims were orphans living at the Victory Christian Children's Home. One boy was suffering from HIV. Campbell admitted he knew what he was doing was wrong, but he thought nobody would believe the victims if they reported the abuse.

He also acknowledged to the authorities he sent money to some of the minors in an attempt to buy their silence.

Campbell was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Odessa, which had ties with the children's home.

US Homeland Security agents began investigating him in June 2014 after receiving a tip-off. One boy told investigators he went to the orphanage in 1999 after losing both of his parents. He said Campbell abused him, sometimes on a nightly basis, over eight months.

TERRORISM?!: EgyptAir flight MS804 crash may have been caused by an explosive device, experts say

Aviation and security experts have suggested that the disappearance of an EgyptAir flight from Paris to Cairo may have been caused by an explosive device. There have been conflicting reports about whether the plane sent an emergency distress signal.
Air travel expert Julian Bray said no alert being made could mean the airliner suffered a "catastrophic failure" possibly as a result of an explosion.

He told the Press Association: "It has to be a catastrophic failure because everything went dead and they wouldn't have had time to get a message out.
"It's gone into the deepest part of the Mediterranean."

Will Geddes, managing director of private security firm International Corporate Protection, urged people to be "cautious" about assuming the disappearance was caused by terrorism because the flight had departed from Paris, which has suffered several attacks in recent years.

"There's a lot of concentrated focus on terrorist issues around Paris but one has to be cautious about drawing conclusions," he said.
But Mr Geddes added that even if it is confirmed the plane did give an emergency signal, that would not rule out terrorism as a possibility because an explosion would not necessarily have caused the immediate destruction of the plane.
"It would not have needed to be a large device - if it was a terrorist-related failure - to lose cabin pressure," he said.

Commercial airline pilot Chris McGee told Sky News there were only two circumstances that would prevent a pilot from contacting air traffic control.

"One would be if there was human intervention, if you are prevented from doing so by someone preventing you from doing that, which is a very, very, very unusual situation indeed," she said.
"The second possibility, which is also very unprecedented, is that something has occurred on the flight deck which means we are simply too busy, we have got to handle what is happening to the aircraft at that point in time and we do that first.
"The first thing you are taught is fly the airplane first, handle the problem, and then communicate. So if you have got your hands full that is potentially why you wouldn't talk to air traffic.
