FOOTBALL: Louis Van Gaal might be SACKED and here is why...

With Fellaini out for the rest of the league games this season, Manchester United FC face Dmitri Payet and the Hammers tonight. A must-win match for Louis Van Gaal and the red devils if they want to be in the play-off for next UCL.
This game will go down in history as West Ham's last game at Upton park.
A loss at Upton park tonight may end the Dutch man's reign at Old Trafford with rumours of recently sacked Jose Mourinho as a possible replacement.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference he(LvG) said:

“I am very worried about [Carroll]. I am always in a meeting about that every day. It                               takes also a long time to organise it well.”
“On Saturday we had to play against a relegation fighter. They were fighting against                             relegation, so it was a tough match,” added the 64-year-old.
“On Tuesday we have to play against an opponent who says goodbye to their stadium, so                   they don’t want to lose in their own stadium. They have already lost to Manchester United                   in the last FA Cup match, and that’s also history. So that’s not good for us and West Ham                   United is a very good team, I think.

FOOTBALL: BREAKING NEWS: Michel Platini resigns as UEFA president after his ban from football is reduced to 4years

Michael Platini has resigned from his post as UEFA president after his ban from football for 6 years was reduced to four years by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

CAS effectively removed Platini from world football by ensuring his ban runs beyond his current Uefa mandate, which expires in March 2019. The court said in a statement that the ban “corresponds to the duration of a presidential term”.

“I take note of today’s decision from Cas but I see it as a profound injustice,” Platini said in a statement. “This decision inflicts a suspension on me that, as luck would have it, stops me from contesting the next election for the FIFA presidency.''
“As agreed with the national associations, I am resigning from my duties as Uefa president to pursue my battle in front of the Swiss courts to prove my innocence in this case.
“Life is always full of surprises: I am henceforth available to experience more of them.”
In a media statement made this morning, CAS said; CONTINUE

FOOTBALL: Man City 2-2 Arsenal, Barca 5-0 Espanyol, Real Madrid 3-2 Valencia (Photos)

It was a weekend packed with both actions and tensions... Fighting off relegation to contending for the 2015/2016 League crown(La Liga
Peep the cut to see some actions analysis from the weekend. What is the weekend going to be when the leagues are on break?

Sergio Aguero put Manchester City into the lead in the 8th minute with a well-taken strike at the Etihad but Arsenal hit back immediately when Olivier Giroud leaped to head home a corner past goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Danny Welbeck injured his knee in the first half and limped off after he clashed with Bacary Sagna and the first  half ended in a stalemate but Belgium playmaker Kevin De Bruyne regained City's lead few minutes after the restart with a marvelous solo goal.

Man City's fans expecting a smooth roll into the champions league qualifying spot for next season were given the shock of their lives as Arsenal starman Alexis Sanchez scored Arsenal's second goal after linking up well with Giroud before sending Hart the wrong way.

Man City will have to win their next match and pray Man U do not win their next two matches to ensure they qualify for next season's Champions League.

In the second big match of the day, Real Madrid defeated 11th placed Valencia 3-2 to ensure they become second on the La Liga table, with just a point keeping Real Madrid away from Barcelona at the summit of the Spanish La Liga table as Barcelona thrashed Espanyol 5-0.

Cristiano Ronaldo was in dazzling form for Real Madrid as he scored twice for the hosts in an entertaining goals-filled game that stretches the La Liga title race to the wire.

As the first-half progressed, Real gradually found their rhythm and took the lead through a Ronaldo goal after 26 minutes.Marcelo found space on the left to fire the ball into the feet of the Portuguese forward, who left Aymen Abdennour in his wake and fired into the bottom corner to give Los Blancos the lead.

Frech forward Karim Benzema, who has been ruled out of EURO 2016 for a sex tape scandal, then made it 2-0 just before half-time.
Confusion surrounded Benzema's finish after he appeared to be offside and Abdennour went down injured during the build-up, but it didn't matter as Zinedine Zidane's team headed to the dressing room deservedly in front.

Valencia, however, had other ideas and stunned the Bernabeu on the 55th-minute mark, with Rodrigo Moreno firing in to make the deficit just one.It didn't last long, though, as Ronaldo scored his second of the game three minutes later, rifling a left-footed shot past Diego Alves.

U.S.A: Indiana installs 'baby boxes' for unwanted newborn babies

The state of Indiana has created an avenue where mothers who don't want their children can safely place them with the government rather than abandon them or try to dispose of them in some horrible way or the other. The state installed two "baby boxes" where mothers can anonymously drop off unwanted newborn babies as an extension of the state's safe haven law.
Two Safe Haven Baby Boxes were opened to the public recently at Indiana fire stations as part of an initiative to give mothers in crisis a secure place to surrender their babies, said Monica Kelsey, a volunteer firefighter and founder of the nonprofit that created the boxes.

When a person opens the baby box, a call is immediately placed to 911, and fire and medical personnel are dispatched to the scene. The box is padded and climate controlled to keep the baby warm while still allowing air circulation, Kelsey said, and automatically locks once a person leaves the child and shuts the door.

The box is also equipped with motion sensors that trigger a second 911 call after detecting movement inside. Fire and medical officials would then look the baby over and transport him or her to a local hospital for evaluation. The child is then placed in the custody of the Indiana's Child Protective Services, Kelsey said.
