FOOTBALL: Messi: I like the Premier League & watch all the big games

Lionel Messi has revealed he is a big fan of the Premier League, but downplayed a possible move despite admitting that he may not remain at Barcelona for the entirety of his career.
The Argentina skipper has long been linked with a switch to England, with Manchester City known admirers of a player who enjoyed tremendous success under incoming boss Pep Guardiola.
Messi has always maintained that he wishes to remain at Camp Nou, though he has now conceded that circumstances could alter and he may be forced to “change his mind”.

“I like English football and I like Italian football. I follow the big games,” he explained in an interview with Egyptian TV station MBC.
“But as I've already said, my intention is to stay for many years at Barça and retire here.
“I hope things work out like that and I don't have to change my mind. In football you never know, and things can change from one day to the next.”

WIERDOS: Schoolgirl missing for two years escapes after captor forgets to lock door

The 15-year-old disappeared in March 2014. Police said she left a note in the mailbox of

the family home in Saitama north of Tokyo reading: ‘Please do not try to look for me.’

Her parents believed she was taken against her will but two years passed with no clue

about her fate.

That changed yesterday when she suddenly called home from a payphone at a Tokyo train

station, said a Saitama police spokesman.

Hours after the girl came under police protection, her alleged abductor, covered in blood,

was found on a street in Shizuoka prefecture west of Tokyo, the spokesman said.

He told police he had tried to commit suicide by slashing his neck with a knife, local reports

said.

The girl, whose name has not been released, told police she was kidnapped by the man

who had stopped her on the street on her way home from school, according to public

broadcaster NHK and other media.

He enticed her into his car by saying her parents were divorcing, and forced her to write the

note to them.

The 23-year-old man, identified as Kabu Terauchi, graduated from Chiba University east of

Tokyo this month, having apparently attended school for two years while holding the girl in

his apartment, the reports said.

SPORT BRAWL: Fight breaks out at rugby league game as players clash with fans

Rugby players fight their fans...

Salford apologised for the behaviour of a section of their support after ugly scenes marred

the end of their win at Huddersfield.

The Red Devils recorded a 26-24 victory over the Giants, but come the final whistle some

of Salford’s players were seen in the away end of the ground.

It happened as the Salford players went over to applaud their fans.

Now the Manchester club has vowed to find the troublemakers. In a tweet shortly after the

game ended the club has vowed they will be ‘dealt with’.

The fracas happened as the Salford players went over their fans in the John Smith’s stand.

It’s unclear exactly what sparked the violence, which is unusual at rugby league games. But

it’s thought a child and possibly players’ family members were being crushed in the melee

and some of the players intervened to stop it.

No supporters are thought to have been injured.

The injured steward was treated by St John Ambulance personnel at the scene.

FOOTBALL: Messi is more intelligent than C. Ronaldo - Xavi insinuates

Ex- Barca skipper Xavi claims his former team-mate is the better player as while Ronaldo can match anybody physically, the Argie’s football brain sets him apart.
He said: “Ronaldo is a goalscorer, and Messi is also a goalscorer.
“However, Messi is a much better team player than Ronaldo. I think Messi is the best footballer in the world.
“In football, there are two important elements — fitness and intelligence.
“Ronaldo is very fit but Messi has both the fitness as well as the intelligence, so simply put, he is better.”

FOOTBALL: ROMELU LUKAKU admits he is open to a reunion with Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho – who looks likely to take over at Old Trafford in the summer – sold Lukaku when he was at Chelsea but the Belgian says he has nothing to prove to his former boss.
Lukaku, 22, said:
“Some people will say that I need to convince him but it’s not a question of that. Three years ago I was 20 and I wasn’t ready to be immediately effective in a top team.
“Several good seasons, including the current one, have changed the situation. I’ll be 23 [in May] and I could leave this summer.”

Lukaku was forced out of Stamford Bridge in 2014 and sealed a £28million switch to Merseyside.
The FORMER Anderlecht striker has flourished at the club and has notched up 25 goals for the Toffees this season.
And Lukaku has made it clear he wants to play Champions League football in the near future.

TECHNOLOGY: Thinnest ever, scratch resistant metallic glass case and higher quality screen - iPhone 7

It is also likely to be the thinnest iPhone ever at just 6mm thick, and may have improved battery life.
Ming-Chi Kuo has made a living from predicting upcoming Apple releases, and believes the tech giant's next flagship device will use Bulk Amorphous Alloys, pioneered by Liquidmetal Technologies.
The mix of titanium, nickel, copper and zirconium is classed as a glass because of its unusual composition.

Metallic glasses can be extremely strong and flexible, like rubber, and also have an extremely smooth surface like glass.
Apple has been interested in the technology since 2013, when it filed a patent application to use the technology in a device with curved edges.
Website AppleInsider obtained notes written by Kuo, who advises investors on new Apple products for financial services company KGI Securities.
He claims the three year-old-design, made more feasible by 3D printing developments, will feature a glass coating.
And he also reckons the next iPhone will be the thinnest to date, thanks to Apple's investment in super-thin OLED screens.
Organic light-emitting diodes are thinner, do not require a backlight, and produce better picture quality.
The Electronic Times reported that LG and Samsung Display, who are planning to invest $12.8 billion in developing production capacity for OLED, are close an agreement with Apple to deliver the screens.
And the firm has opened its own laboratory to develop the technology further.
The combination of these technologies will lead to an iPhone that is just 6mm thick, significantly thinner than the 7mm iPhone 6, Kuo claimed.
The trend for progressively thinner phones sparked controversy with the release of the iPhone 6, which users complained would bend in their pockets.
These new developments might also bring Apple a step closer to the rumoured iRing, a circular device employing a flexible touchscreen.
Kuo also expects the addition of the 3D touch system in the iPhone 6s to spell the end of the homescreen button.
"As many have speculated, the addition of 3D Touch may provide Apple with a way to eliminate the home button on the phone and use the additional space to make the screen bigger or make the device smaller," he told Barrons.
Better battery life and faster processors are also rumoured to be in the iPhone 7 pipeline.
The revelations come days after Apple unveiled a £359 budget iPhone, a mini iPad Pro, a new Apple iWatch, and free TV upgrades.
The iPhone SE will look similar to the iPhone 5, but will contain many of the features contained in the 6s.

HATE CRIME: Ahmadi Muslim shopkeeper stabbed to death for wishing Christians Happy Easter

It is a most tragic tale, 40-year-old  Asad Shah was sent to an early grave for celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. The shopkeeper from Glasgow who has been described by those who knew him as 'peace-loving' was stabbed 30 times in his shop after he had praised both the life of Jesus and ‘his beloved Christian nation’. He died in hospital.

Police say the murder is religiously motivated and are questioning a 32-year-old man.
Mohammad Faisal, a family friend, said a bearded Muslim wearing a long religious robe entered Mr Shah’s shop and spoke to him in his native language before stabbing him in the head with a kitchen knife.

Mr Shah’s brother, who was working next door, rushed out to find the killer laughing while sitting on the shopkeeper's bleeding chest.

‘The brother dragged Mr Shah away but the guy continued attacking with the blade,’ said Mr Faisal. ‘They struggled up to the bus stop where Asad collapsed.
‘It was just a clear-cut revenge attack. For posting messages about peace, messages about greeting fellow Christians and Jews.

‘That man must not have been too happy about what he was doing, what he was preaching. It was a well-planned attack. He must have been an extremist.
'He went straight for the head. He got stomped on the head as well. His brother suffered a slash down his shoulder area because he attacked him with a knife as well.’

Before his death, Mr Shah had wished his friends a ‘Good Friday and a very happy Easter, especially to my beloved Christian nation’.
In his final post, he wrote: ‘Let’s follow the real footstep of beloved holy Jesus Christ and get the real success in both worlds.’
He also spoke out against the Brussels attacks on his Facebook page.

In a video posted online he said: ‘We are not here to fight with other mankind or cause bloodshed.’
Hundreds of people including the Scottish first minister, Nicola Sturgeon gathered for a silent vigil late to honour the respected shopkeeper near the site where he died.

Deeply religious, Mr Shah worked to foster cross-community relations in Glasgow and had been planning to host an online debate last night with Christian friends about the importance of Easter. Friends said he observed both Christian and Muslim holidays, and never failed to send out Easter and Christmas cards. And he used his social media accounts to promote harmony on religious holidays.
It is believed he belonged to the Ahmadi movement, a Muslim sect which promotes non-violence and tolerance of other faiths.

Ahmadis identify themselves as Muslims and a determined missionary network has helped spread their teachings around the world.

The sect however has drawn the ire of mainstream Islam and suffer severe persecution, its headquarters in South London has been targeted by arsonists.

DON'T MARRY HER IF IN HER SUBMISSION YOU CAN'T LOVE & PROTECT HER...

34-year-old Safraz Ahmed kept Pakistani Sumara Iram at his home in Charlton, London, subjecting her to vicious beatings and telling her she would be raped and murdered if she ran away.
She described how she was made to do chores day and night, and was treated like a servant.
Ahmed's conviction for conspiracy to hold a person in domestic servitude is the first of its kind in the UK, according to the Sunday Times.
The pair had an arranged marriage in Gujrat, in the Punjabi region of Paksitan, in 2006. Iram, who was just 18 at the time, said she grew concerned when car mechanic Ahmed refused to consummate the marriage.

Iram, who completed a master's in Islamic studies while in Pakistan, said: “We would text on birthdays or Eid but they were not romantic messages. It was an arranged marriage, not one of love but I would learn to love him.”
Ahmed brought her to the UK in 2012, and immediately subjected his wife to a life of servitude in the house he shared with his mother.
Iram said: “He explained to me that he brought me here to keep his family happy and if I thought he would love me I should forget it.”
"His sister would come with her children and I was made to carry luggage, serve drinks, cook, clean and change the babies' nappies," she added.
Ahmed enforced his will with brutal beatings and humiliation, forcing Iram to wash herself outside in the back garden.
Her mobile phone was confiscated, and she was only allowed to leave the house to buy groceries, lugging the heavy bags back home by herself.
Ahmed told Iram that she would be in danger if she ever tried to run away.
She said: "They would say black men, white men, would rape, kidnap or murder me."
The physical abuse culminated in February 2014, when the mechanic he broke Sumara's nose.
When Iram ran out onto the street she was dragged back into the house. She described how she feared for her life.
"When he hit me in the eye and nose I thought I was going to die. My mother-in-law was there standing by but said nothing," she said.
Neighbours who caught sight of her bloodied face called the police, but Iram, who soes not speak English, was unable to lodge a formal complaint.
It was not until she overdosed on painkillers in a suicide attempt that she was able to free herself.
Iram was taken to her brother-in-law's house after the overdose, where she plucked up the courage to call the police.
Cops freed the young bride, but she is now being treated for post traumatic stress disorder. She says the experience "ruined her life".
Ahmed, who originally pleaded not guilty, eventually entered a guilty plea at Woolwich Crown Court and will return for sentencing later this month.

FOOTBALL: FANS DEMAND WAYNE ROONEY BE DROPPED FOR EURO 2016

Wayne Rooney missed out on Saturday’s 3-2 win over Germany through injury.
But in the striker’s absence, frontmen Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy both shone, scoring a goal each and wreaking havoc on the German defence.
Kane paid tribute to the late Johan Cruyff by superbly turning in the box to fire low past Manuel Neuer and begin the comeback.
And Vardy scored a spectacular back-heel — of which Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo would be pleased with — to equalise, before Eric Dier finished the game off with a late header.
